Rancic recently spoke with People magazine and revealed that the television personality understands she is “too thin.” The E! news anchor’s petite look has come under scrutiny by viewers over the internet who are calling it an eating disorder or worse.
The 40-year-old Rancic claims to maintain a healthy diet, but admits that she has been taking cancer-suppressing medications that have been drastically affecting her body. Rancic “started noticing that she (I) was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all.”

Dr. Dev Paul of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Denver, Colorado said that the drug “can alter metabolism” and “could cause weight loss.” His analysis too was included in the People article.
“It’s really hurtful…I’m sorry that some people think I’m disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there’s nothing I can do. I’m lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine,” Rancic said before ending the interview.
