Celebs on File Episode 185

More frenetic celebrity activity captured by Fashion One. America Ferrera was in London plugging the quality of the animation in her film How to Train Your Dragon 2. In L.A., famous comedian Kathy Griffin hosted the daytime Emmy Awards. Fashion-forward Hollywood starlets such as Emmy Rossum and Freida Pinto descended upon the Kate Spade shopping event, speaking to Fashion One about their appreciation for the casual, wearable nature of the brand. Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux made a rare joint appearance at the red-carpet premiere of Theroux's HBO series The Leftovers.

In neon-lit Tokyo, Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning dressed as visions of good and evil at the premiere and press conference for the Disney gothic flick Maleficent. Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg jokingly recommended bowling alleys as a great place for bachelor or bachelorette parties while promoting a bowling event at AMF. It was a busy time for Mark Wahlberg doing the American morning show rounds. He posed for photos and signed autographs for his fans before heading with wife and children in tow to the New York premiere of the newest installment in the Transformers franchise, Transformers: Age of Extinction. Also in attendance at the glamorous, star-studded premiere was director Michael Bay and producer Steven Spielberg as well as costars Kelsey Grammer, Li Bingbing, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor.

The life of a Hollywood star is not all ups though, as some disasters of the week showed. Bad boy Shia LaBeouf, who has had a string of PR blunders and brushes with the law, was arrested in New York City while attending a movie showing. Charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, after a night spent in jail, he was released without charge. Gary Oldman greeted fans after an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, during which he made a public apology and addressed comments he made defending Mel Gibson during an interview with Playboy magazine. His comments had caused a furor over a perceived anti-Semitic sentiment.
