Spotlight on Jennifer Aniston: How she turned down a gig on Saturday Night Live to play Rachel in Friends.

Jennifer Aniston is a household name and it comes as no surprise that last year, Forbes named Jennifer as the 3rd highest paid actress in 2014. With a string of blockbusters under her belt, there is no discounting the fact that Jennifer is an extremely talented individual. Of course, her most well known role was Rachel Green in the long-running American sitcom Friends.

Friends burst onto our screens in 1994 and Aniston actually turned down a spot as a feature player on Saturday Night Live to take the role. Boy, are we glad she did! The popular comedy show ran for a total of ten seasons and it is reported that Aniston earned $1 million for every show in the last two series alone. The “Will they? Won’t they?” relationship between Aniston’s role as Rachel and David Schwimmer’s character Ross Geller had viewers gripped from the beginning.

Aniston, born Jennifer Joanna Aniston on February 11, 1969, to actor parents John Aniston and Nancy Dow has often hit the tabloids regarding her relationships over the years. Aniston has been with Justin Theroux for three years now and it is believed they got engaged in 2012. There are no reports of a wedding just yet but we couldn’t be happier for this Hollywood couple.

Aniston is currently promoting her latest movie release, Horrible Bosses 2 in which she returns as terrifying dentist Dr. Julia Harris. This time she is back alongside Jason Bateman, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx as they turn their hands to a bit of kidnapping.
