Fashion for a Good Cause – Art Hearts Fashion

FashionOne host Krista Cousins goes backstage at the Art Hearts Fashion show presented by the Aids Health Care Foundation for Spring 2015.

Founder and lead designer Erik Rosete spoke about the event. “I started Art Hearts Fashion several years ago to benefit designers and artists that were kind of all working in the same community that I was working in. And I decided well, if we’re coming together to really show off our art, why not do it for a great cause? I mean, everything we do in this life should have meaning,” he explained.

Lead hairstylist Woody Michleb was in charge of creating the hair looks for the eight different designers presenting their collections during the show. Some of the looks included airy, avant-garde up-dos, sleek chignons, beach waves, glamorous curls, side braids with curls, and multiple braids for the tribal inspired collection.

Lead make-up artist Cesar Olivas revealed one of the looks being created for the show, that of Indian designer Altaf Maaneshia. Olivas revealed that Maaneshia wanted dewy skin, a bright red lip and a natural eye. To achieve the dewy base, Elizabeth Arden’s BB cream was used.

Professional ballroom dancer, Anna Demidova, from popular American TV show Dancing With the Stars walked the runway for Triple X. Former marine turned model Alex Minsky, who has gained fame for being an underwear model, also walked in the show.
