Celebs on File Episode 193

The 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards was a glamorous event as the most beautiful and talented stars of the small screen gathered to collect their awards. Ian Somerhalder accompanied new girlfriend Nikki Reid on a date night to remember, and Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba won a trophy for her memorable performance as Crazy Eyes—a part she did not originally audition for but felt good about on reading the script. Joe Morton, affectionately known by fans as Papa Pope, also picked up an award for his role on Scandal. Jane Lynch revealed that Gleeks everywhere can expect their favorite show to be back on air in September.

Chloë Moretz and Jamie Blackley have been doing the rounds to promote their new film, If I Stay, in the Big Apple. The pair greeted fans before sitting down to chat about the big-screen drama.

Maria Sharapova celebrated being the cover star of SELF Magazine’s September issue and showed off her entrepreneurial side at a pop-up store of her confectionery line Sugarpova. “It means a lot to be the cover star; I really enjoyed shooting and being part of the process,” she said.

The premiere of Sin City: A Dame to Kill took place in Los Angeles, with Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke, Jaime King and Dennis Haysbert making an appearance to promote the film.

Serena Williams showed that tennis is not her only talent as she sang at the Delta Open Mic event ahead of the U.S. Open. Laverne Cox of Orange is the New Black fame, where she plays Sophia Burset, also revealed a love of karaoke before taking to the stage.
